After just over a year and a half of work since we began building TypeGG back in late 2024, we are proud to announce that we are finally entering Beta!
Thank you
We want to thank everyone in the community for their support in getting us here. We genuinely could not have done this without you, nor without our lovely staff, quote moderators, Discord moderators, and language ambassadors. As a way of saying thank you, the first 1,000 users who signed up to the site will receive a badge on their profile to mark their early loyalty and support. That badge will be applied in the coming days.
Say hello to Universes
This Beta release is headlined by the all-new Universes update: per-language ranked-PP worlds. We're growing from an English-only typing platform into a global one, so every language now gets its own ranked home.
What's next
From today, our focus shifts from proving out the major gameplay features to polishing the experience: cleaning up the UI and UX, smoothing the new-user journey, and squashing bugs. That doesn't mean the features stop. We still want to ship the Shop and user cosmetics, plus deeper social features like better Friends integration with chat. But the priority now is making TypeGG feel seamless and low-friction for newcomers, which should help us grow toward our goal of becoming the world's largest competitive and social typing platform.
The road to v1.0
Although this is certainly a moment to celebrate, I don't want to get too emotional just yet. We still have a lot of work to do before we launch v1.0 of TypeGG! Spread the word and invite your friends to usher in this next-level typing experience, and keep an eye out for upcoming updates and bugfixes as we race to the finish line.
